INTERACTION LABS YEAR 1: GREENSPACES AND MICROBIOME
The first full InterACTION Labs | Iquitos project is investigating microbiome as an indicator of health: connections between oral, gastrointestinal and environmental microbiomes and their relation to health issues such as depression, gum disease, bacterial and parasitic infections, food security and nutrition, and the impact on biodiversity in the community. A landscape intervention (a park with gardens, art and stairs) and before and after measurements will help us understand further connections between these health factors and the built environment. This project is currently in the data analysis stage.
