FELLOWS & SCHOLARS PROGRAMS
Since 2017, Traction and the InterACTION Labs Iquitos programs have supported 5 faculty, 10 PhD, medical residents and DNP students, 14 graduate students, 4 bachelors students, and 5 recent graduates from both Peru and the U.S. in a cross-country interdisciplinary exchange to work on collaborative applied research projects that support the InterACTION Labs Iquitos program. Fellows and Scholars represent a wide range of disciplines including nursing, landscape architecture, bioinformatics, microbiology, bioengineering, One Health, anthropology, architecture, medicine, public health, environmental engineering and veterinary and biomedical sciences.
Fellows and Scholars Programs include: The InterACTION Fellows and Scholars; the GHIP program; the NIH Fogarty Global Health Research Training program; the Penn State One Health Scholars Program, and the CGHN Scholars Programs.
These programs are supported by the Centro de Investigaciones Tecnológicas Biomédicas y Medioambientales (CITBM), the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM), the 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund, the Universidad Nacional de la Amazonia Peruana (UNAP), the University of Washington Global Innovation Fund, UW Center for Global Health Nursing, the UW Departments of Landscape Architecture and Global Health, the Penn State Departments of Landscape Architecture, Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Global Health, and Biobehavioral Health, the PSU Institute of Energy and the Environment, and the NIH Fogarty International Center.
